Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) Magnets: Powering Modern Industries

What is NdFeB?

NdFeB magnets, composed of Neodymium (Nd), Iron (Fe), and Boron (B), deliver the highest energy density among commercial permanent magnets (up to 52 MGOe).

These rare earth magnets dominate 90%+ of premium magnetic applications globally.

Why Choose Our NdFeB Magnets?

1. Precision-Grade Options: N35 to N55, with operating temperatures from 80°C to 230°C

2. Custom Fabrication: Laser-cut to ±0.05mm tolerance, multi-layer coatings (Ni-Cu-Ni, Epoxy, Zn)

3. Fast-Track Delivery: Prototypes in 72h, bulk orders in 2-3 weeks

4. Certified Quality: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, RoHS/REACH compliant

Key Applications Driving Industry 4.0

1. EV Revolution

Traction motors (Tesla Model 3 uses 4kg NdFeB per vehicle)

    Battery management sensors

2. Wind Energy

    Direct-drive generators (1.5MW turbine requires 600kg+)

3. Smart Manufacturing

    Linear motors for CNC machines

    Magnetic separators in recycling

FAQ Section:

Q: How to prevent NdFeB corrosion?

A: Our triple-layer Ni-Cu-Ni coating achieves 1000h neutral salt spray resistance.

Q: Why does sintered neodymium iron boron require coating?

A: Neodymium iron boron magnetic steel is produced using powder metallurgy technology and is a highly chemically active powder material with tiny pores and voids inside,

which are easily corroded and oxidized in air. After the material is corroded or its components are damaged, it will cause a decline or even loss of magnetic properties over

time, which will affect the performance and service life of the whole machine. Therefore, strict anti-corrosion treatment must be carried out before use.

Q: How to choose neodymium iron boron coating?

A: Neodymium iron boron electroplating adopts different electroplating processes according to the different usage environments of the product, and the surface coating also

varies, such as zinc plating, nickel plating, copper plating, tin plating, precious metal plating, etc. Generally, the three mainstream processes are zinc plating, nickel plating+

copper+nickel, nickel plating+copper+electroless nickel plating. Only zinc and nickel are suitable for direct plating on the surface of neodymium iron boron magnets, so

multi-layer electroplating technology is generally implemented after nickel plating. Now the technical difficulty of direct copper plating of neodymium iron boron has been

overcome, and direct copper plating followed by nickel plating is the development trend. This coating design is more conducive to achieving the thermal demagnetization

index of neodymium iron boron components that meet customer needs.
